You want how much?

Just heard some of the finer points of Junior's big speech and all I can think is "YOU WANT HOW MUCH?" I guess all those armchair presidents had a point. Sitting at Starbucks and the Java Hut after perusing the sparse Help wanted ads sipping a java and wondering, "So what happens when we defeat Iraq's military? Then what do we do with them?" Besides give Cheney's old pals from Haliburton billions of dollars in contracts to "rebuild Iraq" that is. Perhaps the US government should give those javahounds a job. It sure as hell seems like none of our current Presidential staff gave one bit of thought as to what we would do after the big Junior As A Topgun photo op.

I listened to Hardball with Chris Matthews and it really sickens me the way those Repubs still insist on pretending that this is the way it should go. The world knows our military is stressed and we are now in a position of going to the UN like putzes when we could have been with them as allies and compatriots.

Finally it occurs to me how easy it is for Junior to ask for 87Billion dollars. I think he's had a lot of practice asking for outrageous amounts of money, things, privileges. Daddy get me out of the draft. Daddy help me with this DUI. Brother, what can you do for me in Florida? It's all fuzzy math to this guy, because he never had to earn it.

My wish for the US is that in 2004, Americans are smart enough to elect a person who did have to earn it; and diligent enough to keep the freeloader from cheating his way into the White House.

There is a real disconnect within the First Family. I heard on the radio this AM that Laura Bush wants 28+ million dollars to beautify the White House. I like Laura but she is going to get a lot of heat for this idea whose time is not right.
