Civic Duty

I donated a small contribution to the Democratic National Committee for their September Fundraising Effort. Paul Begala and James Carville asked if I would. It wasn't much, but I feel better knowing I am doing something to save our country from the idiocy that currently runs The White House. So if you want a stable economy, sound foreign policy, responsible and strategic use of our military, and the end of truly fuzzy math, take the Carville/Begala challenge. One of the cool things is being able to check how much they've made so far.

I love the internet.

I just checked at 1:00 pm on Wednesday and they're up to $210K. Pretty impressive.

Great link. I'll definitely think about contributing...though Stepan says the DNC has been dissin' Howard Dean, who is our current favorite for the Democratic nomination.

I truly understand that this is a compitition and that the competitors are highly motivated, competitive people, but if this primary election turns into a mudfest, I'm going to be completely and utterly disgusted...may even make me go Green for good!

It's very nice, that for the moment, the contenders seam to be united in trying to win the White House from Shrub. I hope they find a way to distinguish themselves from each other without resorting to typical name-calling, trash-talking campaign rhetoric.
