Puddle of Mudd
I went to see Puddle of Mudd last night at Irving Plaza. Puddle of Mudd gave a really good concert although the audience was kind of tame. The music is harder than I would typically listen to and truthfully, my penchant for this kind of music is probably a lingering side effect of dating Rhett. I have to admit, hearing that music blast at you, Live; it feels good. The do a coupla songs that I really like. "She f*ckin' Hates Me" is a favorite. There's also one about smaking ahem, something. Okay, so it's not Shakespeare. To my way of thinking no matter how refined one is, one still has to have an appreciation for the more basic attitudes inside them.
My date had the hook up with one of the bouncers so we got in for FREE. FREE I tell ya. I love when stuff like that happens. It's the cogs of the machine in this city that have all the power; doormen, bouncers, subway train drivers. But I digress. Before going to see Puddle we met at a bar called Galaxy next door to the venue. At Galaxy, my date "Roseland" met a girl at the bar named MiMi. A very nice massage therapist who looks like Demi Moore. Truth to tell I think this girl and I were hitting it off much more than either of us were with Roseland. It's fitting though. She too shares my birthday!!! For the second year in a row I've met people who share my birthday on a day that is close but not technically my birthday.
I look on it as a harbinger of good things in the year to come.

Speaking of concerts, we are going to be attending Kay Yeager Coliseum on Nov. 13th. 3 Doors Down, Saliva, and Shinedown are the featured bands. I can hardly wait, especially since we don't have to drive far to see them.
