Measure your life in Miles
As you probably already know, I've been training for the Danskin Triathlon. So far things are going okay. Except for the whole foot sprain thing, I'm really enjoying my training. Last Wednesday I did a double workout on my bicycle, traveling from my house to my job on canal street, then uptown to 5th and 91st at Central park, a quick loop around the park with that monstrous hill and finally back to the ferry to go home.
I was tired and certain that I'd biked a days worth of the Tour de France. If only there were some way to know for sure.....
Thanks to the good people at google, two folks named Sue and Paul, and one of my Team Danskin teammates I now have just such a way. Check out the Google Map Pedometer. You can record your route and calculate mileage. Alas, I did not quite make a days worth of "le Tour". I did however cycle double the distance of the Danskin.
